The concept for this project is called “Music Virus” which people dance after hearing the “broken music”. Therefore, what I did on the types is to create a new font that represents the concept perfectly. As a result, I created letters that were made by small matchstick figures in different dancing poses.
Story Background
People who live in a small town always enjoy music, they sing it and hear it all the time. There was a piano shop that plays Beethoven’s 'Moonlight' Sonata every afternoon when the town is going to rest for the day. One day, a man was walking on the street, as usual, he passed by the piano shop. The music sounded different as usual, “is the speaker broken?” He was confused but did not pay much attention to it. When he arrived home, he could not help himself to stop singing the off note music and started dancing. The dancing did not have beautiful lines, instead quite looked like zombies. He ran out of the room, wanted to find solutions. However, the notes from his mouth were heard by the passing people. A few minutes later, everyone he met was dancing like zombies and singing at the same time, even for the animals. The virus spread too fast that nearly all the villagers were dancing on the street.
Juno, Alice, and Clara were three girls that just finished their master in the university, as a part of the town, all of them have great talent in music. This summer they were planning to teach children piano in the town. However, the huge changing had shocked them when they got off the train. Instead of teaching, they decided to save the town, but the first thing they need to do is to pass the perfect pitch test.
